BWANA ON ALUMINUM

BWANA ON ALUMINUM
This work forms part of Simon Needham’s photographic series capturing the evolving presence of sanctuary lions through large-format, high-fidelity portraiture. Bwana, born in 2015, is a striking young lion carrying the white lion gene from his mother. Already displaying a growing, impressive mane, he embodies the awareness and emerging strength of a sub-adult male, his presence both confident and playful.
